Default ECO Fault

My 2013 XJ 5.0 SC would appear to have had the ECO battery fail. I keep my car on a charger - but that did not seem to maintain this second smaller battery. I now have a fault light on the dash and the car no longer goes into ECO mode when driving (frankly I prefer it this way).

Question - other than the annoying dash light - am I doing any harm to the car by just leaving it alone?

No, as a matter of fact I had a bad ECO small battery for over a year and finally got tired of the warning and replaced the battery.

Same for me, but it took a year to save up all the $$$$ to buy that little battery! It was available only from my dealer and was priced like it was filled with liquid gold.

(Just kidding about saving up to buy it, but serious about the cost). Outrageously expensive for its size.
