You
Hello guys my 2013 Jaguar Xj 351 was parked for 9 months. The battery was completely dead. I replaced the battery with a 750cca new battery. I started the car and it idled for about half an hour. I drove it for about 25 minutes , the check engine came on, the temp guage was normal, the engine made no noise, oil was normal. The car went into limp mode and completely stop after about 30 minutes. It gives off a click when I attempt to start the car. Please help?

Modern Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition. The symptoms you describe are typically those of a partially discharged or failing battery. A "new" battery is rarely ever fully charged regardless of what the supplier may claim. An overnight charge before first use is always a good precaution.
Have the battery fully charged OFF the vehicle. Make sure the terminal connections are good and the cables undamaged - especially the BCM (Battery Condition Module) on the negative terminal.
You may have permanent error codes set that caused the limp mode but will be unlucky if this is the case.

I flatbed the XJ to a mechanic, he tried turning the crankshaft and it wouldn't turn. Does electrical system in the XJ prevents the crankshaft from turning if the engine isnt on. Plesse say yes, if not does anyone have a x351 V.6 Petrol for sale. Its a 2013 XJ.

[QUOTE=clubairth1;2246821]Replace the battery and report back. I would not mess with charging unless it's a pretty new battery.
Is it factory original?
Very common and a easy fix.

No the engine will rotate if no power. Unless the starter is jammed somehow. Try taking it out and trying it again. If not it’s probably the engine. But the cause should be diagnosed.
Also try taking the belts off to see if the supercharger is seized.

Was everything working normally when you parked-up the car 9 months ago ?
As others have said, you need to progressively physically disconnect the engine ancillaries and check for engine rotation at each disconnection. You may also have to take the starter motor off. Only when the engine has nothing connected except the transmission and still won't turn will you have to consider removing the engine and transmission for a stripdown.
