2013. Is this the torsion isolator?
So we just bought this 2013 xj, supercharged v6 50k. I didnt hear this noise at the dealer but now a few days later I hear the sound of 3 clunks in a row when shutting off the car. Definetly seems like its in the supercharger, does not sound like a rod knock.
Anyway this is my first SC'd car, is there anything else specific to superchargers that I should check. Tomorrow I plan on popping off the SC belt and seeing how much play there is in the pulley, but other than that is there another way to check what it might be?
If it is the torsion isolator, what else should I do while I have the supercharger off?
Also is there a how to on doing the job?
Thanks for the help.

So I just got back in from popping the belt off, and yeah theres quite a bit of free spin before the rotors engage. No real side to side or up and down wiggle play so hopefully the bearings are all still good.
Is there anything else I should be doing while replacing the Isolator?

Two things come to mind that you could do -
1 - Visit the NEW MEMBERS AREA - INTRO A MUST subforum
2 - Read through all the existing posts in here related to the supercharger and the part I think you're talking about, there are a lot of discussions that give a lot of detailed info about it.
That might add some value while/before you're doing the job
