Many thanks. It sounds great, but not unlike the stock sound maybe a couple of DBs louder.
As for me you do not need any welding after the hanger would be cut off. You will just mount the XJR finisher and tighten the bracket on the finisher. So you do not need to buy XJR tailboxes.
But after video from GoPro i can here there is some difference. So if you want to make the sound more agressive you must definitelly go for the XJR backboxes.

Thanks for the great sound clips. Really sounds great. Last question how is the sound inside? Is it louder than the stock exhaust system and if so how much do you think? Looks like you are enjoying warmer weather than usual there in Moscow.

Inside it's completely the same. You can't here any difference at all.
Usualy in that time we have Moscow completelly covered with a lot of snow but this year is horrible. We are like in Florida now.

Sounds great, but is there a clip where you start off closed and then transition to the open cutout as that would be very interesting to hear. Also, looks like the snow has arrived. Be well!

Default Music To My Ears!

Rostman,

That's the best sounding XJ I've heard! Awesome!

It's interesting how little things change after 55 years. Your XJ's exhaust sound reminds me of the promo record "Sounds of Corvette" from 1961 that was narrated by Zora Arkus Duntov, the "father of the Corvette". That Corvette was equipped with the optional off-road exhaust that had round straight through mufflers instead of oval baffled mufflers. Listen and enjoy!

By the way, Zora Arkus Duntov lived a very interesting life: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zora_Arkus-Duntov
