Default 2016 XJ - Infotainment system issues

Hi - I have a 2016 XJR-sport, but appear to be having a number of issues with the Infotainment system. About 50% of the time when I start up there's some form of issue - bluetooth won't connect (or disconnect when not working), screen goes black, music does not work, maps refuse to fire up.

Seems to be more often when I jump in the car, start the engine and immediately put in reverse. Appears that doing anything before Infotainment systems is fully booted causes problems.

Anyone else seen similar issues?

I think you just resolved your issues - give it time to fully boot up.. Nevertheless, I'd discuss this with your dealer since you're still under warranty. Better still, bring it in so your dealer writes up a service ticket so it's documented in your car's file in case it doesn't get better. The infotainment/touchscreen system is expensive, and you want all repairs to be covered by the warranty.

Had same issue with black screen. Waiting for system to boot up prior to selecting gear seem to do the trick. Thanks.

Exactly the same issues.
Dealer promised to do an update of the software due to arrive soon.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one with the exact same problems. Dealer updates twice, problems still remind :'( (2016XJL)

Has anyone changed the stock rims on the XJL and had issues with it?

Meanweather you might want to start a separate or new thread for this question, but I have put aftermarket wheels on my XJL with zero issues.

did you use the TPMS off the original rims or did you buy aftermarket ones? What size rims did you put on your XJL ?

I used the OEM sensors from my factory wheels. And I put 24 inch 3 piece wheels on the car.

Ive found that when you start the car you need to allow the system to come up before backing out of the garage. It will eventually come on if you don't but it takes a while. the backup camera seems to interrupt the boot process.
