Thanks!!! I thought it's simply removing a few nuts to pop the headlight. I bought the attached LED to fit into the Headlights but now it seems "mission impossible" ....

Default Headlights replacement

Hi, sorry I am not able to help as I didn't manage to add these LED to my Headlights. I seen a thread in this forum that someone else manage to replace their headlights but you have to modify these 2016 lights in order to fit them to your XJL. Let me know if you manage to get them replace.

To add to to the two replies above - you only need to modify the headlamps if you want to retain the static cornering lamps. If you do not mind losing those, or don't have them anyway, then you can do it entirely car-side by modifying the wiring behind the headlamps. Stuart's link explains both processes.

They are not compatible. The projector lens beam pattern will be wrong for LHD (it kicks up to the left, which will blind oncoming drivers). When I had mine apart I did not disassembly the projectors themselves so I am unsure how the beam pattern is fixed. I couldn't say for sure you would be able to adapt them.

Although not an issue for you in Lithuania, it is worth mentioning that US markets require amber side markers too, which are not present on the UK units.

did you have to cut any wires? Or was it just a plug and play installation? I’m thinking about going to a dealership to purchase but I don’t know if just by plugging lights into my hornace if it would fit

Darealwoody,

How did your conversion go? I was curious as to if by the benefit of time could it be that this conversion can be done with the harness sold by CARID (I think) and then the OEM (or Slightly loved...OEM) assembly. I really would like to make the change, the posts for the retrofit quickly escape my current skill set. I think I can drop the bumper and unscrew the three bolts on each assembly. Dropping the bumper does scare me...a bit. But, I feel certain I could do that! A week ago, I replaced an HID bulb and that little incident cost $896.00...I could not imagine even discussing something like this with them!
Thanks in advance for sharing your adventures with us!!

The process was a lot more than just pin swap!! the electrician had to cut some wires, had to put 2 relays each side and 1 load resistor each side. (Probably because here in the US its different, I was told that in europe they come wired with DRL lights)

I will do more test tomorrow and will post pics. Anyone interested in this mode in the New York area I can recommend a place, if you're else where, go see an electrician.
Frank I'm in queens ny trying to get this swap done where please!!

Here are the extra photos for the wiring inside and the extra relays added. I don't really know much about the wiring set up but this is the final result.
