Isn't you '16 still covered by the factory warranty? This is a covered item.

 

Unfortunately, they just said that rattles and squeaks are only covered through the first year or 12k miles whichever comes first. Besides, they said that since I opened it and that small plastic piece fell off, it cannot even be considered due to tampering.

The good thing is the rattle is fixed, but one button (i chose the parking aid) wont work since there's no piece behind it pushing it to engage the board. My other option if I cant find that piece from somewhere is to 3D print some of those pieces, but I need to get a CAD first. Seems like a real hassle.

 

Huh? You need to go to another deal this most certainly IS covered under the factory warranty. His statement about opening it is also false. What a **** dealer you have. Contact Jaguar corporate and tell them your dealer is refusing to perform warranty repairs.
