Adding Massaging Front Seats
I didn’t get an attempt at modifying the CFF file. You can’t make modifications to the CCF with modules that aren’t originally fitted to the vehicle on the car. The CFF options will be grayed out, and not changeable. I spent all yesterday removing modules in effort to avoid SDD detecting them. I have replaced a lot of components on my vehicle. The infotainment screen, added rear seat entertainment screens, entertainment module, headlights, seats, rear screen shades, overhead consoles, gear shift, seat switches, newer satellite radio module etc. It appears that SDD keeps detecting a component. After I put my car back together, I thought about the internal massage bladders in the seats that I added. I never actually disconnected the seats from the seat modules. It’s possible that SDD is detecting them.
I’m gonna take a knee on this for now. I’m going to buy another diagnostic tool that will hopefully allow me to modify the car’s configuration file despite having modules that are not associated with my car’s vin.

Im trying to do the same in my range rover
But I get the same error when programming

I may have figured something out. OP also mentioned 2013 car with a 2014 donor. That is also my situation. I noticed that the first 4 characters of the part number changes with 2014 models. I have purchased 2013 modules from a car with front cooling and massage and will try programming those.
When I dissembled the added modules and was in engineering mode, I couldn’t figure out which options needed to be modified. But yes, I’m pretty positive that modifying the CCF file is the answer.

Yes. I believe you’re right. My problem is that I’ve swapped so many modules and components in my vehicle, and I’d have to disconnect them all and have SDD read the vehicle. The configurable options will be grayed out in engineering mode if it detects modules that aren’t originally fitted to the vehicle. I’d have to disassemble half of my car.

I made some progress, and purchased a CF52 module which programmed fine. Everything seemed to work and program fine after CCF edits.
However cooled/heated seat operation does not fire off the fan. I have a 2013 L405 range rover and I may not have the right cooling module.

That’s awesome! What were the CCF parameters that you modified in order to enable the massage seat options to be displayed on the NAV screen? Thanks for the update!
Front ventalated seats fitted
Drivers seat, Passengers seat 16 way (even though the module says 18 way)
I have a 2013 L405 range rover
The 2014 seats I tried have a completey different wiring setup and cooling module
Good luck, since you also have a 2013 as well, I assume they changed something in 2014. I'd hunt for 2013 seats and part out the 2014 seats. You could sell the air bag and head rest and it'd cost about what a junkyard seat costs anyway.
Did you reprogram the infotainment unit after you made the changes? I had that issue when I add rear controls for the climate control, I changed the CCF and still didn't get the information to display. Then I figured out that the infotainment unit had to be reprogrammed to code in the changes from the CCF. It's an additional step that is often not communicated.

You want to go down on the Extras page to “InControl – learn vehicle variant” and run that.
