Does anyone have information on replacement of the alternator for the 3.0 X351? I found one post related, but it seems not to have any meaningful resolution. No videos online, no pictures, nothing.

Why does the alternator need to be removed from the vehicle?

 

One thing that seems to happen a lot is using aftermarket units cause a lot of problems.

If there is anyway you can get your factory original unit rebuilt you will be far ahead. They are not failure prone either so somewhat rare to need replacing.
