Default Any Nieman Marcus Edition Owners Here?

Greetings! I own an F-Type S and an XK, but admire the XJ (X351) and almost purchased a Nieman Marcus Edition that was for sale locally. Does anyone here on the forum own a Nieman Marcus Edition?

Thanks,
Peter

I don't believe I've heard of a Nieman Marcus edition package. If you search for Nieman through the XJ(351) forum, any mention would be found, even if the person involved isn't on t he forum often & doesn't see your post.

UPDATE- I did find an old post by Celestial that 50 Nieman Marcus packages were produced,
thanks - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Thanks, Mark. I've looked at those forum posts before. I have something that an owner of a Nieman Marcus Edition might like to have, and I was trying to see if there's anyone on the forum here that has one.

The Neiman Marcus Edition has a special Celestial Black exterior color and a blue and white interior color with a "Neiman Marcus" badge on the dash where is says "Jaguar" now. Not sure if they had special rims as well? I know it also came with a luggage set at purchase - that would be something if the current owner has that, and would throw it in with the purchase! 😄

The edition also had light up tread plates on all four doors. The few that I have seen for sale came without the luggage, unfortunately!

The light up sills were common but I don't think they were standard? Did this version have something different about them? I know the 575 cars had 575 in the door sills and that's the only variation I have seen?
Rare car for sure so hope you post some pictures of the differences.

All of the Nieman Marcus editions had the light-up tread plates for all four doors. I've attached a photo that I found on an auction of one of these, but here is the auction listing if you'd like more pictures. Sadly, no luggage came with this car so I don't know what the luggage looked like. Here's the link to the auction pictures:

Yes thanks for the link. I did want to see the luggage too!
Those are the same lighted sills as all the others. So far the only other version were the 575 ones.

I think back in 2011 light up door tread plates were not standard. Am I wrong on this? I've seen many, many for sale without these.

Yes it was an option most of the time depending on the model. They were included in the "Illumination Pack" Z46B. On my 2014 XJR the window sticker lists that pack as a $1700 option. Includes the blue vent lights, lighted tread plates and LED rear reading lights. Also have seen it listed in an Australian ad with a list price of $3234 AUD.

I have a Neiman Marcus Edition XJL Supercharged. In addition to illuminated door sills, the boot treadplate was illuminated also.

Sadly 575s didn't get illuminated sills. They had the "575" logo sills instead. I think it was a weight saving measure for performance!
They are an easy retrofit if you can find them second hand (or at a breakers). The wiring is already there on later cars at least...

I figured the 575 got ALL the options! Surprised the lighted sills was not one of them.
With the retro fit do you get to keep the 575 logo's?

The illuminated sills are still available as NOS parts from your local Jaguar Dealer. Each illuminated sill costs approximately $330.00. I've had to replace two of my illuminated sills.
