R1 makes their drilled rotors with countersunk holes, and they were my first choice, but I have time to read opinions.
"Drilled brake rotors or not" is another one of those endless forum debates, similar to "best oil for my car" and "best brake pads".
From all my reading there are zero problems with drilled or drilled and slotted rotors for normal street use providing they are reasonable quality, I have had the same set of slotted and drilled "Hart" brand rotors on for nearly six years now (XFR first then F-Type) with zero problems. Not only zero problems, they have worn very smoothly and evenly and very slowly with almost no lips on the outer faces.
The only time I have read of problems with drilled rotors is when poor quality ones are hammered really hard on the track and get excessively hot, and then they can crack.
Nothing at all wrong or risky with the R1 Concepts drilled (and slotted) rotors.
