Lightbulb Camshaft position sensor

Hi All, jumped in to my XJ 3L diesel and tried to start her up, she was turning over nice and strong but wouldn't start up. RAC and my local garage have put the OBD machine on and come back with camshaft position sensor fault bank 1 A.
The garage say they can't do the job but have given me another local garage who specialise in JLR especially 4x4s but they can't fit it in for a couple of weeks.
Can anyone point me to the position of the sensor.
Is it a big / complex job to replace it?
They look reasonably priced to buy so could do it myself if not too difficult.
I have done a bit work on my cars previously and am reasonably competent.
Cheers Shaun

Cam position sensor do read from back of belt pulley, one on right when watching engine from front, and its held by one screw what are bit tight to access. Its behind of pulley on engine body and some say that you need to remove EGR assembly to get access for it.
