Default Crossover pipe

2015 xjl 3.0 83,000 miles.

The rear crossover pipe was leaking at the seams. Part # AJ814053.

I wanted to try and prevent the new one doing the same thing, so here are some things i did.

1. Applied permatex water pump/thermostat sealant around the perimeter where the 2 plastic pieces are welded together.

2. After a few hours, I used a high temp (500F), self sealing tape that it used to fix leaks. This really helped compress everything together.

3. I used a high temp, reflective foil tape to help keep engine heat away.

I am still new to the party here but I think this is a good strategy.

Got 17K on my 5.0 N/A so this preventative work is in my near future...
