Crossover pipe
2015 xjl 3.0 83,000 miles.
The rear crossover pipe was leaking at the seams. Part # AJ814053.
I wanted to try and prevent the new one doing the same thing, so here are some things i did.
1. Applied permatex water pump/thermostat sealant around the perimeter where the 2 plastic pieces are welded together.
2. After a few hours, I used a high temp (500F), self sealing tape that it used to fix leaks. This really helped compress everything together.
3. I used a high temp, reflective foil tape to help keep engine heat away.
