Does anyone know where I can find detailed operating instructions for Voice Control that includes the laundry list of all possible voice commands that is visible through the settings menu of the touch screen?

Has a separate XJ voice control manual been created by Jaguar in any jurisdiction?

Is it possible to customize voice command settings to user preferences so that it would show me my preferred commands?

Good questions - My dealer has an updated user manual which is to be exchanged for the original one, and my hope is that it provides some reference for this, as well as other updates like TMC. I dont have the new manual yet so I can't say for sure... but you should check with your dealer and try to pick one of these up. I won't get mine for another week or so.

 

Thanks for the response. Over the weekend my dealer provided me with a manual that he thought was the latest version. I'm still reviewing, but so far it seems to be the same version that I received when I took delivery 3 weeks ago. I'll see if it has anything new on TMC.

 

I was just given a new owner's manual when I picked up my car after the software was upgraded. It was different than the one that I got when I bought the car back in June--that one didn't even have a section for the voice control.

 

My dealership also mailed me a copy of the updated Users Manual. Per comments above it does indeed contain a section on the voice control functions.

Anyone with updated software should request a copy of the updated manual from your dealership. Alternatively, another post on this Board included a link to the updated manual online, which matches the updated document.

 

Dealers are switching out service manuals at visit. If not, ask them. I got a new one without even asking. And....all the info is online. Sorry lost the link though but I know it is posted here somewhere else.
