Default Double beeping when closing door

Hi team,

My 2011 portfolio has started doing the above. Plugging in my NT520 revealed the left front unlock pull switch - signal stuck ON fault and front left lock button - signal stuck ON codes. This makes sense seeing as when I close this door, that's when the car beeps back. This door handle has always been stiff to open as well. I'm guessing it's either the keyless vehicle module or P/N C2D14992 (control module) seeing as I can find no wiring shorts when I disconnected the cable from the door handle after removing this assembly. Is someone able to confirm if the picture on the wiring diagram is C2D14992? Just want to be sure of the correct P/N should more testing reveal this to be the culprit (once I gain access by removing the door card). Thanks.

Above pic: Front door status with both doors closed.

More likely a sticky mechanism than an electrical fault. Try cleaning the door handle and the buttons.

It could be the internal switch in the handle. i would verify by checking the RF handle with your scanner and see if the switch goes to on, that is shown in the second picture.

It's cable operated and there have been reports of the cable freezing in cold weather. Since you have it apart maybe lube the cable and see if it still feels stiff?

Thanks for the above suggestions. Removed the door card and access panel behind and gave the mechanical assembly a decent shot of white lithium grease. Pulled the electrical connections and used contact cleaner in those. Replaced the dying varta lead acid battery with a new AGM one. Reset all the control units and viola! Opens, closes and locks like it should. Sometimes I guess it pays to not assume and reach out to others who may have had the same issue. Now all the remaining doors are getting the same treatment

Good results!!
Thanks also for reporting back and closing the thread. Not many do that and it sure helps the next guy trying to fix his car.
