Hello everyone, I've recently purchased a 5 year old jaguar Xj x351 and have now got a problem. The drivers door won't unlock or open from the inside of the car. The lock button on drivers door is on all the time. I can unlock the car and open the drivers door from the outside but can't get it to open from inside, when i press the unlock button on the door or the dash every other door unlocks and opens from inside but the drivers. I have to open the window and reach out to open door from outside to get out of the car which is a bit annoying. Has anyone had this problem or can throw some light onto what the fault might be. Ps I have taken the door panel off but everything is as it should be no loose connections etc. Thanks David.

 

Problem solved, left car over to my mechanic for service and he brought it to car spark and after some searching found that there is a way of disabling the driver door lock from opening, don't know how but after a reset on computer car door working perfectly again and for a mere £180 for fix and service Well Happy.
