After turning the car off a "Lights On" message appears. Doesn't matter if switch is in off or auto mode. DRL and rear lights stay on. I found that by putting the turn signal/lighting stalk in a left turn position turned the lights off.
Any suggestions?

 

There is a common issue with the lighting stalk where the wires will rub and it shorts out internally. Advise replacement of the lighting stalk with a good used part or you can open it up and repair it yourself. Do a forum search and there are a few threads about it.

 

Thanks for the info! I'll see if I can take it apart and see where the wires are crossing before getting into a replacement part.
