Default Fluid spots on Garage Floor

Couldn't find anything relating to this issue, consequently a new thread. This should be filed under just another Jaguar mystery! My 2019 XJL, SC 5.0 L is dripping and spotting my nicely painted garage floor, with a nasty brown and sticky substance. It's just passing 2500 miles on the odometer. Naturally, I was a bit concerned; since all of the smell, touch, color and taste tests (just joking) didn't point to anything that I was familiar with. So, back to the dealer for technical assistance.. It didn't take long to get an answer. It was diagnosed as water from the A/C evaporator drain, dripping on the heat insulation shields under the car.. There is a brownish dye in the insulation, which is picked up by the A/C water, which turns brown as it flows through and onto the ground. The solution and prognosis -- "This is normal and will eventually cease once the dye has diluted." It's amazing, isn't it? I guess if I just park the car outdoors I'd have nothing to worry about. Or better still, I'll search around for an Oil Drip Pan that I used for all of the junkers I owned back in the day, when I had cars that were often -- "check the gas and fill the oil" vehicles. No guestimate as to how long this might take.

Stay well and keep the forum going.

Might it be cosmolene? as, I think, Jaguar may use it on new cars to protect surfaces during shipping, just a guess

A sheet of cardboard would work ok.

Cosmolene???? The last I'd heard of that was in an old war movie when they had to clean all of that gunk out of the guns they were to use.

This is the gunk!

All I can say is that when I went on a spirited drive with the factory zone rep in a 2012 they had built for me and before it had been fully PDId it smell to high heaven of cosmoline and the rep confirmed that the factory sprayed it on cars for sea transport, but they usually spray it off at the port. Of course this was in September of 2012. BTW, I did not take delivery of the 2012 as we had already changed my order to a 2013 that was delivered the next month. (long story)
