Default Grill surround removal

I need to remove the grill surround to color-match it to my car.

Could someone please advise as to how the grill surround is removed?

Are there tools required or is it just done by pulling by hand.

Hi, Take a look at this link to a previous thread, I have just had my front grill replaced , including the chrome ( plastic )surround, due to a minor ding cracking the chrome surround. A body shop did it when the car was in for the repair of the rear after someone ran in the back of me. To remove the grill it seems you have to take the whole bumper off, have a look at the exploded view to see all the parts.

Default yea I saw that link...

but no one definitively stated the process for removal.

I would hope the bumper would not have to come off.

Anyone?

Bumper has to come off, then whole grille, then the surround can be detached from the grille itself. No other way that i know of.
