I replaced all my coolant pipes with metal pipes
and pressurized the system and my thermostat housing started leaking coolant. It was at 15 psi and to my understanding that 200kpa is the same thing as 29 PSI.
Help us to help you? No car info? No engine size? No mileage?
Maybe replace that with the metal version too? They have them for both the 5.0 and 3.0 engines.
It's the OEM plastic version right?
Looks like you have broken the bracket so might be worth replacing anyway?
If replacing all that have you also replaced the rubber hoses?

Thanks for updating the thread! I thought it might be a 6 cylinder because of the temperature sensor in the thermostat housing in your picture.
Just some info on thermostats?
All 5.0 and 3.0 engines use the same thermostat BUT there are several 6 cylinder models that also have a temperature sensor in the thermostat as the picture above shows. So if your updating to the lifetime Aluminum versions they do come with and without the temperature sensor. So check yours before ordering to get the correct version.

clubairth1 I ran a second pressure test and found another leak coming from the rear metal cross over pipe fitting connector. It looks like I have to break it back down again but not today and thanks clubairth1 and happy Labor day.
You have replaced the rear water manifold with the metal version? Your picture looks like you still have the plastic version on your car?
I believe that is another coolant temperature sensor as my 5.0L engine had one there.

The sensor came with the manifold
Yesterday I put test of 20 psi on my 2014 jaguar xjl portfolio 3.0 L with supercharger. I replaced all plastic coolant pipes with metal but the rear coolant metal manifold pipe started leaking from the sensor. Did I really screw up something? This is where the leak is coming from.
There is an O-ring in there? Maybe take it apart and inspect?
When I put in the metal rear water manifold I compared that to the stock plastic version. The temperature sensor twisted out much easier from the plastic version. I was afraid I was going to break the sensor when removing it from the metal version. But it was just tight and came out without any damage.

Thanks. I will try that clubairt and update you on the progress.
Sure! Now you did not give me any car/engine info?
But the good thing is they way Jaguar designed things all 3.0 and 5.0 engines use the same part. The only difference I can find as posted above is some of the 6 cylinder cars have a temperature sensor installed in the thermostat hosing. So check your car. As a hack I have seen guys install the one with the sensor and just leave the wires dangling?
But all versions are on EBay and other places.
Here is the one that has the temperature sensor. Metal Thermostat Housing
