Default Slow leaking coolant - someone help with part ID?

Hi All,
Slowly sipping coolant (1L ~1000miles) from the pictured part (below) - it seems it is made out of plastic (!) and has one of the big coolant pipes connected to it. Pic taken from top (front), closer to passenger side.
common culprit?
2005 VDP
Thank You!

Yes common. The plastic degrades. Replace EVERYTHING around the area. If you don't you will be back or when you take off the part you will notice the related parts have also about to fail. There are write ups. Read up and order everything at once.

I bought this part:

https://www.jaguar-shop.com/epages/6...ducts/AJ811793

PartNo on the bill was: AJ89485

You should check again for your car, as there are many similar looking parts for the XK, which don't fit on the X350.

it looks like it is not as obvious! There are various variants - I will have to look really really closely to figure out exact fit.
had a similar problem previously with some hoses on my XF.
is there any jag online store that can 100% confirm compatibility or it has to be a “visual” match ideally.

I think this is the exact fit - there is also similar looking AJ 89486 which does not fit (I think I found that mis-fit on ebay, by coincidence). Currently only amazon has an exact fit part -> AJ 89485!
was this a complicated replacement? A lot of dependent parts that had to be removed? Any advice on the replacement process?
Thanks!
AJ87947 = AJ89485

Amazon Amazon

and here is the superseding info from jag webstore:

If you're buying at jag-dealers, they can check your VIN to ensure compatibility. On ebay and amazon, I doubt some parts to be the same quality.
The replacement can be done without special tools or lifting the car.
I failed to remove the "neck", which resides below the input pipe, but it isn't neccessary to swap it.

have You replaced the old o-ring on the "neck" (neck = the smaller part that comes as a set, right?).
how hard was it to remove the bolts (two sets of 2?)? anything specific to be careful about?

I moved the new O-ring to my existing "neck", as I didn't find out, how to swap the "neck", too.
The bolts opened quite smooth, but I bought good nuts and used the "sand fluid" to get a tight fit. ( like this
Amazon Amazon
)
I only had 8mm nuts, but the screw seems to be made for 7.9mm nuts.
I read some horror stories about these bolts to break, but me experience was more like "a walk in the park".

Just received the replacement part - is there anything You suggest that should be taken out "around" the housing in order to make it easier? Which components around should be loosened/removed?
Thanks!

my neck seems to be falling apart like clay.
Do I have to remove the air intake above to replace the "neck"?
