Default Hissing noise help

2000 Jaguar XJ8 I have a hissing noise coming from the driver side of this hose that's causing my check engine light to come on but when I unpluge the hose the hissing sound goes away. Can anyone help me with this problem it's also causing me to fail my smog

Don't unplug it. Do fix it. You've an air leak. Engine mustn't have any of those.

All I can see is a white USB cable on top of the engine. Am I missing something ?

Just noticed the orginal post is for a 2000 XJ8 !

This forum is for the new XJ. You would be better off posting here

Yes the point of the white USB cord is to show the hose from the drivers side to the passenger side where the hissing noise is coming from.
