Hissing noise help

2000 Jaguar XJ8 I have a hissing noise coming from the driver side of this hose that's causing my check engine light to come on but when I unpluge the hose the hissing sound goes away. Can anyone help me with this problem[ATTACH]

Don't unplug it. Do fix it. You've an air leak. Engine mustn't have any of those.

All I can see is a white USB cable on top of the engine. Am I missing something ?

Just noticed the orginal post is for a 2000 XJ8 !
