Default Inspection & Tires

Pass Inspection - 12,000 miles. ( inspection by Jag Dealer )
However, was told, 'Rear Tires' will be needed by
next inspection.
That would be about 24,000. I have no problem with this and I know its my style of driving.

Question: Has anyone replaced thier tires? If so, did you stay with the stock tires or go with a different brand and or type ?

~THANKS~

I stayed with the OEM Dunlop Sport Maxx GT's. Got 18,000 miles out of the rears and 22,000 miles out of the fronts. I'm a moderately agressive driver.

I replaced my two rears because of road debris that punctured them in my first 1000 miles (not even a month on the car). They were $500+ EACH.

If I were replacing, I've heard good things about the Hankook Ventus. They are less than half the cost and rated the same. I'm curious if anyone has gotten these on an XJL Supercharged/Supersport. A person has a positive review on an XF Supercharged:

I have Continentals that came with the car. They run about $1600 for 4.
Hankook's are half that.
But if the are reliable and wear about the same time they would be a better buy every "two years".
I have time to check them out.

I have a truck I use for off the road mostly. I switched tires that did not equal the stock tires, I was never happy with them - the truck was never the same. Sure don't want to make that mistake with the Jag.

I got the Bridgestone Potenza Pole Positions. I got these after my Dunlop Maxx Sport GT wore down at 12000 miles. I like them. I think they care a little bit more road noise but not that much. And they are rated very well on tire rack.

And I was thinking ---I was alone in tire wear at low mileage. HA!
I have no complains on the Continentals and all the others mentioned are
fine tires.
I wonder if the dealership will recomend the tires that came with the car?
