Default Instrument Cluster question.

Does anyone's instrument cluster looks like this? The menu transitions are very nice and how the gauges appear. Also at 2 minutes where the menu appears it has more option than mine.Any clue how can we make ours look like this?

Interesting. I really think the amount of information shown on the instrument panel of this clip boarders on information overload. For example, if you have to look at the "virtual" instrument display to determine you are following too closely or are about to run into the vehicle ahead of you, it is likely because you are not looking out through the windshield as you should be, but instead are looking at the "virtual" display.

John, I think the diagram where it is showing the car and how close it is following is more for setting up how close you want the car to follow, not so much to show you how close it is following. Remember, there is an option for the cruise speed adjustment when coming up on a slower vehicle.

cicirrigi, I will take my car out for a test drive and put it into dynamic mode to see what the instrument cluster shifts to. I have been wanting to do this to "blow the gunk out" anyways. I will let you know what I see. From my interaction with the instrument cluster, the basic premise is there, but how it transitions is a bit different. Mine does more of a flip vice the fade and shrink away with the brightening with the enlarging like the video shows.

On a side note, the red instrument cluster in dynamic mode is supposedly present with the 2016 vehicles as there is a post about that from a member that is a jag tech and he got to see what the new body style looks like and some of the internal workings.

The car distance is only available with adaptive cruise control as that option, only, installs a forward looking sensor. Red gauges are in Dynamic Mode and gear designation is when the gear selector is set to "Sport" mode. All these functions are available through 2015 as in 2016 the gauge display is significantly changed and, IMHO, is less sporty as the tach is now combined with the fuel/temp display and the right side is reserved for function selections.
