My 2012 XF and my iPhone worked together happily for a couple of years - as Apple upgraded their software the two machines grew apart..it started with podcasts not being selectable via the dash and now I'd have to pick up the handset to if I want to take a call.

Dealer's response is that the software on the car is older than the software on the phone and they just aren't compatible anymore.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the phone a few times but this does not help the situation.

Any suggestions?, Do Android phones have the same problems?

 

Apple probably don't care as it's not a new phone and I can't see Jaguar putting effort into tracking incompatible changes made by Apple (and probably not disclosed) - but see if others have ideas.

As I recall, Apple don't let you go back to an earlier version (ffs!)...

 

Just to mention that you are in the XJ forum. You might get a better response in the XF (X250) forum

 

Get a new jaguar and your phone will work with the car again.
