Default Jaguar Interior

As anyone noticed the selection of interior has declined.
I have 2011 XJ Super Sport. When picking the interior
he gave us books with all kinds of wood. Color of leather
was almost confusing, right along with the seats. We had a hard time
in picking the leather over head.
I looked the other day at the new XJ's and only found 4 options for interior..

What happened??

I agree...the choices for leather and wood is pathetic now!

Yep I went to Jaguar recently to look at buying a new Jag...and I am not liking my interior options. Hence, no sale for Jaguar.

Hadn't noticed because they had the interior options I wanted, but they have scrapped the metallic light blue exterior colour which I like a lot. Sad.

Before we decided on the Jag we went through every car maker we could find.
( and one that was 1/4 million dollars.)
The only car that came close to the interior was Bentley
( but we did not want to sell a house )
What was nice - Audie 8....... maybe.
The BMW's , Merks were terrible. The prices were passed the Jaguars and even I performance you are not getting anything compared to Super Sport.
Plus all the little extras............ my favorite , JAGUAR lighting up on floor
when the door opens. People love it, and one I have never seen in any car.
"A fully leather over head."
( the blue light is gone?? A shame. They are dropping all the good selling points )

Is this a dealer-installed option?

No kidding! - I have been enjoying the upgraded suede headliner in my XF ( now on my third XF). You can spec. it in the XE, XF, F-P. But guess what, you can not get it in the 2016 XJ AWD anymore - WTF?
The rubbish they come up with to cheapen the brand ...............

You can buy them online from the different Jaguar dealers and install them yourself. The set is between 800-1100 dollars. Installation should take 5 minutes for each sill. The plugs are already in the sills and all you need to do is plug them in and snap the sill back in place. Just make sure you buy the right one. The fronts are the same for SWB and LWB but the rears are different. There is also a change in the font and material in 2014 that made them less expensive. I think this thread from Stuart S that talks about install, pricing and where to purchase this:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...plates-153556/

Highly recommend the sills.
