Key insights I learned in a couple of days
As I mentioned in my intro, I just bought a 2011 XJ. I chose Botanical Green/London Tan Seats/Jet Interior & Headlining/Figured Ebony. It is pretty cool. I will upload pictures in a few days.
I am still learning about all of the features, here are a few tidbits I picked up that may be helpful to others:
1) On the control on the left of the steering wheel, the light press of mode of course takes you to the next audio category eg. Radio, Sat, iPod, etc. However, if you hold the "mode" button, you can get one level lower on your audio choices. For example, it will take you from Sat 1 to Sat 2 to Sat 3.
2) If you want to use your voice to enter navigation entries, you must have your language set to English US. I was initially bummed because I wanted English UK, but this does not work.
3) If you have a paired bluetooth phone with a phonebook (I have over 2000 numbers), you can access it using the voice command "Phone call contact." It will ask for the name in your phonebook. Say it as it appears like "Smith, Jane." The number will pop up. Again, another way to avoid the touch screen while driving or over-voicetagging!
All for now, I am sure I will find more tricks. Please share your ideas as well.

I really like the Botanical Green too. My last car was a dark blue Mercedes S550. I have always liked dark cars, but not black. For the interior, I was originally going to do Cashew/Truffle but decided to be a bit more daring and went with London Tan/Jet. I think it is pretty striking. Personal preferences and hard to go wrong.
