Hi guys,

I installed HCMB (IPMA_C, mono camera) and was able to use AHBA, TSR and LDW. AHBA is perfect. However, TSR and LDW have some problems and I would like to solve the problem of LDW first.



If I leave my lane, the LDW should warn me in the following way:

#1. Cluster Warning
#2. Steering Feedback




#1 is perfect. But #2 didn't work. I tried to look the cause. To use steering feedback, CCF needs to be modified.



#3. 25 Bytes 000:007bit must be changed
- to 0x0A (Electric power steering with external angle and torque control)
- My car's default value is 0x08 (Electric power steering with external angle control only).

And PSCM (Power Steering Control Module) had need to updated. However, there was no new software, so I installed the current software again and initialized the module. I get the error "U0001-87". This DTC cannot be erased. I think it means "Your CCF is not specified with the correct value."




So I looked up module information. My PSCM is "GW93-3C579-FA". XJ's PSCM that supports steering feedback is "JW93-3C579-CA".






Any good ideas?

 

Is it possible to retrofit to 2016MY ?

 

It's not easy, but it's not impossible. AHBA, TSR are easy. Install HCMB. However, LDW is complicated.

 

Post which parameters you have changed and I'll tell you if they are correct.

 

If I am are happy with only the first option:

#1. Cluster Warning

Is there anything else we need to do or will it throw any errors or problems?

Not done it yet, just checking on the actual settings in CCF for the cluster warning only?

Sorry. Very late reply.

I modified CCF 97 bytes from 0x00(Undefined) to 0x33(Lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition). My Jag has mono-camera. So I can not activate the LKA. Other values are not changed(default condition). I can see the LDW activation menu and LDW icon on the cluster. And it works very well when I departure the lane. But no steering feedback.




According to the information, it is necessary to change the steering value to support steering feedback. So, I modified 25 bytes 0x08(default) to 0x0A. In other articles, I have seen that I can update the PSCM software by changing this. But my case was different.




Is there something I am missing out on?

Cluster is perfectly lane aware. I ran the lane departure tests in various ways, but couldn't find any problems. There is only no steering feedback.

However, this problem is not unique to my car. Common to all XJs sold, here. There is a stereo camera (IPMA), and even if LDW is available, there is no steering feedback. I believe this is set to be disabled in my country for some reason. The steering feedback support model is 2019MY with LKA available.

I believe steering feedback will be available with CCF modified and software updates.
