Default Last service...

Bought my 2019 XJ in May 2020, so brought it into local JLR dealership for my last (5th) complimentary annual service. Waited an hour, since it's only an oil & filter change; they used Pennzoil Platinum Euro JLR 0W20. They did multi point inspection & checked tires, brakes, & battery, which they stated all were still good. I asked how much for Nav update, they quoted $450, I said No Thanks. It's interesting to see entire dealership full of Land Rovers, & no Jaguars around. They scheduled me for for another day next week for a 3 hour service for a recall to update CPU. Since I only have 32K on the odometer, she still looks & runs great, guess I'll keep her for awhile...

My 2019 XJL Collection is due for its last service, but I think I will skip it. I don't mind doing my own oil changes, but I don't like the dealer having my car. I am curious about the recall. Did your VIN show up as needing the recall on this website?

https://www.jaguarusa.com/ownership/vin-recall.html

My car shows no recalls, so I am wondering if yours is an official recall or just an update.

Great Scott! You must've gotten one with the flux capacitor option!
Or I guess you WILL have gotten one with a flux capacitor!
You'll have a great re-sale value on your XKL, for sure!

I know, it's just an instance of fat finger like we all experience, but it doesn't hurt to dream...

Interesting.
I've input my VIN into Jaguar's site, & it says no recalls found.
So I guess it must be a CPU update, which they says it'll take approx 3 hrs...

Glad to hear the dealer would even work on it. Both Jaguar dealers I have purchased from in the past in Houston are now only LR.
