Default Massive coolant leak

Had to get towed home in my 2011 3.0v6 xj as, even though the temp gauge stayed normal, it was clearly overheated. Today I discovered the leak is coming from a plastic split where the top hose joins the ridiculous plastic hose but actually at the face where the plastic hose and return (bypass) hose join onto, there is a third hose also attached. To get to it I some how have to remove the manifold which has the air push fit pipes in a y to both intake manifolds!! How and why, surely I don’t have to remove the intake manifolds-just had one replaced at great cost after the dreaded split…… ideas anyone-I’m stuck without my motor. I’m new here, so thank you.

That is a fountain of bonkersness-wasn’t sure how to add the video, sorry

The "Y" shaped part is the Throttle Body and doesn't have any cooling pipes in it.
You may need to remove it to get to a coolant junction box underneath it leakage of which is a "known Jaguar problem".
Its an easy fix. When removing the TB turn it to the passenger side so the drivers side part of the "Y" comes out first.
Otherwise get an workshop manual online (mine cost $19) and follow the bouncing ball.

Thank you so much, yes I deffo need to remove it and did notice there was a larger sleeve on the intake manifold passenger side wondering if that was the option but didn’t want to bust the intake manifold. Is the junction part expensive or repairable with a plastic welder? Thank you for your help

Just chiming in here. But if you have the older front crossover pipe then I would definitely replace the rear one at this time. These engines are too expensive to replace and the early pipes will fail for sure. So I'd be replacing at the very lease the front and rear crossover pipes.

Is your car the diesel engine or petrol ? Most US contributors won't know much about the diesel engine as it was never exported to the USA.

Thank you, I’ve identified the part, same as Land Rover and often called the thermostat housing water pipe at anywhere between 20£ and 50£ depending on where from it looks like this:

Thank you, but mine is 3.0v6 d, I tried to put it in my signature but I’m not sure it’s showing up yet?

Looks good but you should add the Diesel part as in the US we don't have these are not familiar with their problems.
