Default Need help- where does this wire go - near the battery

2013 XJL petrol v6
Please see attached pic. Where does that wire go? Where do I plug it in. I was replacing the battery and I might have accidentally unplugged it? I am not sure whether it was ever plugged some where.. I assume it has to be plugged somewhere? Can someone please check their car and help me?
Thanks.

It goes nowhere and is nothing to worry about, it is used once and once only by the dealership as part of pre-delivery set up.
Mods - any chance of making this some sort of cross-forum sticky as this question comes up with monotonous regularity, at least once a month, and has done for the last 15 or so years?

That's a HUGE relief, OzXFR!
Thanks a lot! This forum has been so very useful, with knowledgeable people helping.
Btw, for my XJL, I could not unscrew the bolt which holds the battery down, at its base on the + side.
First, it was extremely tight, as I was unscrewing and suddenly, something "gave up" and it started turning freely but would not come out.
The similar bolt at the -ve side came out just fine. I was able to wiggle the battery out anyway.. but I am wondering if this happened to anyone else and what exactly is happening to this bolt as it keep turning but not coming out!

Another question: My 3.5 year old Jaguar OEM battery died completely. Once day, I got a "low battery, start the engine" warning.. When I didn't use the car much, it simply died. Is it possible that the battery failed and that there is no standby current drain?
Thanks.

Depending how often and how many miles you drive at a time; you can expect a battery to die anytime after 3 years of age. Two pieces of advice to prolong battery life. Make sure your new battery is fully charged before you install it and buy yourself a battery maintainer, particularly if you don't drive the Jaguar much. CTeks seem to be the favorite for Forum members. They can be bought on Amazon for less than $100.

Yes the battery can die just like that. I am amazed that my factory battery will be 10 years old this September! We will see if it makes it!
I have never used a battery tender.
