Default Is this normal supercharger play?

I have the supercharger off the car, and I am just not sure if this amount of rattling when I move the shaft up and down is normal/not a problem. Has anyone checked this shaft on their supercharger before?

There is no forward and backward play on the shaft, which is good. There is much of a rattle in the up and down axis than the left to right. I'd hate to spend $4k for a new supercharger if it is not needed, and I would hate to have to take it back apart in a few months if it really needed to be replaced.

I just drained the oil, and there was almost no particles in the oil. There was only one tiny one that was magnetic.

I don't know if the oil goes all the way to the front of the supercharger, or if those bearings are like the snout that don't have any oil. If no oil goes up to the front, than looking for bearing material in the oil is not helpful

I watched a video on the complete rebuilt of the supercharger, and the oil only sits at the back of the supercharger to lubricate the big gears in the back. The bearings for the snout and the front of the blades does not get any of this oil.

I put it all back together with a new OEM snout and new OEM coupler, and the supercharger spun well by hand with no rattle and it runs quiet. If it gets noisy, I will spend the money and effort to replace the supercharger itself.
