Divedy1, if you go to the dealership, odds are they are going to use Castol because that is what the car was designed to use when it was manufactured. Ensure it is full synthetic 5W-20. There is a number in the owners manual for the oil spec that you should try to meet as not all oils will meet that number.
With this being said, is your car going to break down if you use a different oil, no. Because of the limited number of these cars and the cost of having an oil tested to see if it meets a manufacturer's oil spec, it is going to be difficult to find an oil that is not made by Castol that will say it meets the jaguar oil spec number. I have used a few different oils (all full synthetic) and have not seen any detrimental issues.
