Best to do some searchers as this has been discussed to death.
I use the Castrol that meets Jaguar spec's.

Are you under warranty? What Engine?

Since I posted, I checked and have 4800 miles since the last change. I have the 3.0 engine. I bought the car from a dealer in 2016, with an A title off the lot. It had 12,800 miles and just had been serviced. I now have 17,600 miles and think I have a little more time. A local shop quoted $93 with Havoline full synthetic ow20. Problem is, I’m a Florida “snowbird” and the car sits for 5 months out of the year. Not certain if I should wait the 15k mile recommended time period. I’m not under the yearly oil change offer that started in 2016. I have a 2017 XE that is under the yearly oil change deal and I probably put 3k miles on it each year. It’s free, so I guess it’s a deal. I’m a first time Jag owner. Had Benz for years. I really like both cars. Thanks

Read this entire thread:

Use the motor oil that meets the API specifications as detailed in your Owner's Handbook. Otherwise, your dealer will deny any engine warranty claims. Does that Havoline oil meet the spec? Not just the viscosity - the entire spec.

That is the mileage interval, not time, and if you look closely at the service schedules, you'll see "nn thousand miles or every 12 months". It is a pointless economy economizing on oil and filter. If anything untoward happens, a replacement engine is mega-expensive. There is an X351 V8 at my local independent waiting on a replacement engine, and a used one is proving very difficult to obtain, (few X351 V8s are sold in the UK).
