Default Parking Break Fault - Post Oil Change & Rear Parking Sensor Fix

I took my car in for an oil change/inspection. I also had a rear parking sensor that was pushed in which was fixed. On the "additional work" on the authorization sheet, it listed "Remove and Replace Parking Brake Motor - estimate at $1,900". The electric parking brake was working fine when I dropped it off. When I pick it up there is a "Pa

Estimate for replacing motor.

Parking Break Fault light.
rking Brake Fault" warning sign. The electric parking brake is now inoperable. They did disconnect power to fix the sensor. Can you all help sleuth this? I feel like the shop did something wrong and I do not want to pay $1,900 to get this fixed when it was working perfectly. Thank you for your help.

Update: Using the method below (and disconnecting the ground for 30 seconds), I was able to fix the problem. Thanks to those before me who suggested this. Note that disconnecting the battery actually invoked the calibration process (pushing the brake 5 times did not)

EPB Lamp ON, Incorrect Park Brake Operation
1. Start the engine.
2. Firmly apply and release the footbrake five (5) times.
3. Confirm that the message 'NOT CALIBRATED' or 'APPLY FOOT AND PARK BRAKE' is displayed on the Instrument Cluster message center. This indicates that the parkingbrake is in calibration mode.
4. Lightly press the footbrake pedal.
5. Apply the parkingbrake by using the EPB switch.
6. Release the parkingbrake.
7. Release the footbrake.
8. Confirm that the brake warning lamp is no longer illuminated on the Instrument Cluster and that the 'NOT CALIBRATED' message is no longer displayed in the message center.
9. Apply and release the EPB five (5) times to ensure no error is present

You may need to repeat the footbrake/EPB switch 3 or 4 times.

Yes, someone unsuspecting would have paid $1,900. Either it's Jaguar service ignorance or malfeasance.

Great job! Yes I was going to suggest an EPB reset but your dash error was different from what I am use to seeing? So thought maybe you had a different problem.
Got to feel good fixing that $1900 "BAD" EPB motor for free too!

I think you earned yourself at least one beer for that??
