Default Passenger Seat Memory retrofit?

I have a xj 2016 luxury model, both passenger and driver seats are electric, however only the drivers seat has the memory buttons and function, is there an easy way to extend this to the passenger side also? i realise buttons will be needed and changes in SDD , is anything else required?

Thanks all.

What do you mean by "is there an easy way ...?" What is your budget? If you do this mod, know that it won't increase the value of your car.

Anything is possible with enough money, but are the benefits worth the cost? Who are you trying to please, and why can't they use the existing seat adjustment switches?

If a memory passenger seat is a must-have, I'd trade the XJ for another luxury car with that feature from the factory.

You keep trying to add things and it's just not doable. Sell your car and buy one that is equipped they way you want it.

thanks all, not quite the response i was expecting from a user forum!! in that case close down this site and have that templated for every one whether the car is faulty or users trying to extend capabilities - answer is but a another car !!!

There are a lot of clever people on this forum who could possibly answer the question raised with a simple yes or no , or do it this way etc ….

The simple answer is no.

My reply in Post #2 was not disrespectful and I wanted to know your motivation for this very expensive project. Your inquiry didn't make sense to me, because you asked "... is there an easy way...?", which implies a low cost, notwithstanding the high cost of parts. But you failed to answer my questions.

So I gave up drinking for a month. Sorry for the typo.

Yes - it is possible. There is no easy way, just the proper way.

thanks all and no offence taken.

I was just hoping a set of buttons for the door and some programming may have been the answer, however from your responses it does not look like this is the case or is it?

if we dont ask we won’t know, changing my car to one with everything i would like is not a possibility due to cash, so always looking for cost effective easy solutions that enhance what i have so far. No harm in that i hope ?

Have a wonderful weekend all.

we purchased a 2019 F-PACE S, brand new. took delivery late 2018. Memory seat was not available. Shame on me, I thought it wasn/t a big deal. But now, my wife has had a medical setback and a memory seat for the passenger side would have been a super convenience for her. allowing changes for entry and different for exit.. But what can you expect for a vehicle, priced north of $70,000!
