Default Polished Kasuga wheels

Question, I just received a wheel from the wreckers to replace my cracked polished Kasuga wheel. I’d like to know if Jaguar changed the process for gen 2 cars, this one came from a 16 and it’s looks like it uses the chrome powder coat process and not a true polished and clear powder like my originals on my 13MY. They still show similar luster but want to make sure if this wheel was reconditioned with the pcd? Or if it’s a Jaguar change? Hopefully some of you will know what I’m talking about if you have OE polished Kasuga wheels.

Interesting. I'm curious too. One set I have are polished Orona wheels (MY2011) and to my eye they have a different looking finish to later model polished Orona wheels when on rare occasion I've seen them in the wild. Of course I've never had the opportunity to do a side-by-side comparison, but have wondered.

Yeah I think they changed, the stickers and stamps looks original and the barrel inside and out are power coated with the shinny stuff. My originals you can see the diamond cut and clear, the polished face is a true polish. With clear and the clear fails had those white vains that creep under the clear.

I’ll say I prefer the new process for salt roads, but it’s a cheap process, I hope they charged less for them.
