Default Product suggestions to correct the black back window pillars

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody had any product recommendations to renew/restore the black rear window pillars. My wife has a silver 2014 XJ that still looks newer except for the back black rear window pillars (are they called c-pillars). I have a 2016 Black XJL and mine are still descent but would like to get ahead of them so they don't get to the condition of my wife's. Does anybody else have or had this problem and what did you use to correct it?

Thank You,

Mark

A pic or two would help narrow the scope of products. That being said...

I used this to restore the ones on my 2011 XJL, albeit they were in good condition and just needed a few swirls removed. So I know its safe for you to try. I would do them by hand.

I have been using this stuff for many years on my XK8 with excellent results. Cheap too for how good it works.

The 3M stuff seems like overkill but would probably do the job assuming its safe for the coating on the c-pillar covers.

These Panels are less than $150/ each and easily removed and replaced. Upper Molding - Jaguar (C2D39452)Fits 2010-2019 Jaguar and Upper Molding - Jaguar (C2D39453) Fits 2010-2019 Jaguar and use a couple of these Door Trim Panel Clip - Jaguar (C2P7160) on each side. In the earlier days there were some forum members that painted these the body color, which I do not like but here is an example.

Depending on where the problem is, you can just vinyl wrap them. It's easy and cheap.

I'd just wrap them. If you'd like to do yourself it won't be too hard or just have a shop do it. The material to wrap gloss black should only cost around $30 for 5ftX2ft. The pillars look less than 12 inches wide so that should be enough. Even 5ftX3ft just in case you mess up measurements/ cuts or want to practice on other items. If you do want to order gloss black. I would suggest you go with 3M 2080 as it's their newest film series and will have a removable protective layer on top of the black to prevent scratches to finish. For gloss black the 2080 series is worth i tsince they added the top layer to the film. The 1080 series gloss black would sometimes get scratched in transport. Good luck if you go that route.

I've attached an amazon link for you.
