Programming Garage Door Opener
my infiniti worked on the first shot.....so does that mean i DONT need the signal repeater?
Correct. Some cars need the bridge and some don't. I ran into the same thing. My wife's Lincoln had no problems with programming to any of our 5 garage doors. Shame it only has 3 positions to program!
But my XJ would not and I eventually added the bridge and then I got it programmed.

One thing I have learned about this garage opener: the button on my Jag will not work unless the car is powered on. Either have the car running or need the start button pressed to provide power, and it works fine to open/close the garage door. I do not recall the exact method I had used when setting up the car's buttons, but perhaps I did not have the car power on when in my earlier attempts I could not get the car to take the program! So, 'power on' and it will probably take the program and work on your garage door.
