Default Refitting front bumper X351. Issues?

I need to get the front bumper on and off to put back a front parking sensor which has been knocked inwards (into the bumper void).
I've been told that sometimes plastic car bumpers don't go back on properly and and never quite 'right' again. This worried me. Is this a problem that affects our X351s? Should I be able to get the bumper on and off without compromising anything?
Grateful for advice.

I removed our front bumper cover a couple of months ago for the same reason, with no problems.
I was surprised how easily it comes of and back on, yet is still a pretty solid assembly.

Complete nonsense. Is this from another youtube "expert"? If so please turn all that crap off. It's junk.
I have had my bumper cover off and on at least 6 times.
Now I do like to use two people and place towels on the floor underneath the front of the car so I can lay the cover down. It's light but big and bulky.

Any plastic trim has the capability of inelastic deformation and plastic becomes more brittle as it ages. The tiny clips that hold the bumper onto the body of the car tend to tear off the bumper if you remove the bumper frequently enough. Take care to not use excessive force and not bend the bumper at extreme angles, and do pull against the clips in a perpendicular fashion to avoid tearing them.

There are no clips on x351 front bumber at all to keep it in body. Just screws. Bumber cover is mentioned to be removed for service of bulbs, not like doorpanels etc trims where plastic clips are used.

Yes no plastic clips removing the bumper?
Have you ever removed a bumper cover on an XJ? It's really very simple and it opens up the front end for MUCH easier access.?
I would have hated to work on the IC and IC pump repairs with the cover on. Same when I upgraded to LED head lights.

Maybe I'm thinking of the rear bumper since I had that off the other day.
