Hey guys,
2012 JagXJ supercharged. Hit and runned the other day. The slightest slice in sidewall of front left tire. 1/4" up and down, 1/16" deep. The insurance guy instantly said replace. Should I? If I call a tire place they will of course say yes. thanks, Bud in FL

 

It it was caused by the accident, insurance should cover it.

 

I think the question is: Is the tire safe? I would say any cut in the sidewall is not. You have the insurance; why take any risk. If there is is sufficient wear on the front tires, you'll likely have to replace the opposite side as well.
