Ah another one!
Yes the dealer was suppose to hook that up upon delivery of the car to the owner. But we have seen a number of cars that were not hooked back up.
There is a connector in the right rear fuse panel in the trunk that needs to be connected to enable the drivers door soft close to work.
It should be a purple/red wired gray connector disconnected at the bottom of that rear right fuse pane. Plug them together and the drivers door should work.
Maybe this will help?
Let us know if that's it but I bet you will find it unplugged!
Apparently the cars are shipped with the keys inside (I guess you would have too to keep things straight?). Then the car locks and/or the battery drains down and now the car is locked with the keys inside. So they unhook the soft close on the drivers door to bypass it altogether during shipping.

That's it! The wires are not connected. Unfortunately, my hands are too big to get in there. I can't seem to get the ends to fit together. Guessing I'll let the dealer do it.
Yea it's a strange little problem but once it's explained there is no mystery at all!
Yes you should considering they did not do their job when the car was delivered new.
