Default Static in audio system during startup

I have new '12 XJL.

Every once in a while, when I start up the car, I hear a string of static beeping noise before or during the audio system turning on. It sounds like a radar system almost. At first i didn't make much of it, since it then goes away. However, now sometimes rarely, it persists while the radio is on. When this happens, it can get real quirky, like happening every 5 seconds or so. When it is happening, the radio is nonresponsive to any touches/commands. Sometimes it is as if it is shutting itself off and on. One time, the satellite radio lost audio from the left channel (but not the regular radio). If I stop the car and turn it off and restrart it almost always goes away. This of course is not an option when you are on the freeway. Sometimes I just press the audio system power button to turn it off and on. This sometimes help and sometimes doesn't. Sometimes i do it repeatedly and it eventuall goes away. Once it goes away, it doesn't come back (until perhaps the next time I start up the car).

Anybody experiencing this. I think I will be taking in the car for this but wanted other's experience.

My car has rear entertainment system, don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it is not on when this is happening.

I now see others have laso described something similar here, but it seems my case is more sever:
