Default Stuck like chuck

I have a 2011 xjl 5.0 and I want to change the valve cover gasket on driver's side but the darn thing won't release. All the bolts are loose and the gasket seal it broken so the cover moves around but it won't lift past the bolt length. Any and all advice needed.
What could be holding the cover down if bolts are loosen

Does fuel line need removed to get cover off?

The fuel rail, injectors, and coil units must be removed first. Removing the cam cover from Bank 2 is always easier with the fuel (red connector) and vacuum (blue connector) lines above the cover removed as well.

It's also a good idea to remove the fuse for the electric fuel pump located in the back of the vehicle.

Hi Jagkicknmybutt,

I have deleted your duplicate thread and moved the remaining thread from the General Tech Info forum to the forum for the X351, which is the Jaguar factory project code for your 2011 XJ. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars, as well as expert Jaguar techs like NBCat who has already given you an excellent response.

Cheers,

Don
