Urgent help! Valve cover bolt

Default Urgent help! Valve cover bolt

Changing the valve cover gasket the third time during my ownwrshio.

Need the new bolts but I can't find the reliable information.

Found some old thtead thay should be the gerneic M6 X 1.0 bolt, is that correct?

Should be but they're flanged so you might need to use a washer and the correct length bolts - maybe take one out the other side and get it matched at the hardware store?

A standard metric bolt will not work correctly for a cam cover. The bolts and the studs all have a special configuration to contain the seal rings that stops oil from leaking thru the fastener. I have attached an excerpt from the SNG Barratt catalog ( a forum sponsor) that show the shapes and seals for the cam cover.
