Hello all, new to the group and new Jaguar XJ 2011 owner.

My suede shade is not rolling smooth, seems as it gets about 3/4 open it starts to bunch up? Any idea of an easy fix? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John. Welcome to the forum.
Try spraying some silicone lubricant into the guide tracks each side. It sounds as though it's just dragging.
