That sounds awesome! How did you get it that pronounced? How is it at WOT?

Cone filters are the key to unleashing the whiny beast.

Unfortunately, I never have an opportunity for WOT pulls in my area

You never know when there's some idiot driver or eager cop around.

I worry more about the other drivers than the police.

Yours almost sounds like one of those Foster SC mod mustangs. Have you noticed any degradation in performance in your daily drive? I only ask as the stock air box units are already efficient.

I would have loved to try it but unfortunately I have the Denso model; on which the MAF is integrated into the piping of the airbox. I think the only way to get around this issue is to find one of those adapter tubes *picture below* and carry on to the cones.

Then again, I still haven't gotten the VAP tune and pulley yet. I have the 200 cell cats sitting in the garage as I haven't been able to find anyone to install them yet.

Yeah, yours being the earlier version makes it a bit more difficult. On the Bosch models, its just a few quick screws and bolts. I didn't realize you could get MAF adapter tubes, that's interesting.

Zero difference in actual performance, positive or negative, as far as I can tell. Only difference is the noise.

I've got a few more maintenance items to check off before I pull the trigger on the VAP tune and pulley.

PS: Keep in mind, those recordings are not great. They don't do the whine justice, especially on highway pulls!

Use the stock boxes, or full aftermarket intake kit with those filters?

I've got the Mina Gallery intake tube and the stock boxes removed. But you could use the filters with the stock tube if you wanted.

Thanks, that's what I assumed. Sorry for all the tedious questions. I'm new to this particular car, and the Jaguar world in general.
