I am very close to the purchase of a 2011 XJ. I have done the online search with Jaguar to see if the car is affected by the Takata airbag recall but it says 'No results found' for the car's VIN.

From what I can see online the recall has been for XF, XE etc but I haven't specifically seen the XJ mentioned. Can anyone confirm if the Takata airbags were also used in the XJ? Thanks

Yes. Takata airbacks have been used and XJ had recall for the software update. At least my 2010 had it. It was free of charge and did not took long. If you login to Jaguar Topix and type the VIN number, it will tell you if there are any recall undone. (that´s how i found that it was undone)

You're in Australia, so this might not work but it's worth a try.
