Default TPMS reset tool for 2014 Jaguar tire pressure sensors

TPMS reset tools cost about $25 on ebay but seem to be manufacturer specific. Did a 2014 XJ use FORD compatible tire pressure sensors, please? My battery died and somehow all 4/5 tire sensors no longer communicate with the car......

OEM Jaguar X351 TPMS sensors need no programming. Simply drive around for 10 -15 minutes and they should work. Your local tire shop should have a scan tool to test the battery life in each sensor. They typically last around 7 years. The batteries are not replaceable, you have to buy new sensors. Beware of low price sensors, as they could have been sitting on the dealer's shelf for years while the battery is discharging.

Thanks. All 4 sensors stopped at the same time. The car is 13 years old so there is a high probability that they got replaced with something generic. Alternatively, the receiver is bad. Do you know anything about how to locate and test or reset the receiver, please?

I had an issue with my TPMS for over a year. I would get the warning on the dash "Tire Pressure Monitoring System Failure." Got the sensors replaced at Discount Tire, no difference, the warning stayed on. I took the car to a JLR dealer and had them diagnose the problem, as I thought it was a receiver or antena or something else. They said no, just need new TMP sensors. The dealer wanted $1000 for replacement of four sensors. I said, no, thank you. Bought a set for JLR specific sensors, but not OEM, online at $40 a piece. Had them swapped at Discount Tire. Still, the message wouldn't go away. Came back to DT a week later and was lucky to talk to a manager who said he had dealt with Jaguar sensors and knew what to do. He used his scan tool to "wake up" the sensors. He said to just keep on driving and the light would go away. I did not believe him, but kept driving and within a couple of days, the warning went away. It hasn't been back for about 16 months now. Go figure...

May not be your problem but my 2015 XJL had a TPS warning from the time I purchased the car. The problem was the connector that is located under the front left side fender liner. (Driver side on US car) The connector had gotten water in it and caused the system to fail. That connector connects the front TPS receivers and front proximity sensors. Once I cleaned it, everything started working.

That would be my issue. All 4 sensors went dead as it was parked over the summer. Now I need to find the right tool but they are cheap. I have one candidate for $10 and one for $15. The sensors are said to be Siemens VDO operating at 315 Mhz.
