Can our console screens play movies? I put in a DVD once and it wouldn't read it.

Yes it does. You have to ensure that you select the correct mode.

Select the My Video option, then hit the "+" button. Next select DVD.

If you've already done that, then you have to ensure that the disc that you're attempting to play is the correct region setting. If you're in the US, I believe we're Region 1. Other regions won't play. I hope this helps.

You're not going to have the TV buttons unless you have a TV turner. You should most certainly have the DVD and USB button for sure.

The unit in the pictures at the start of this thread is an "AW93" which is for model year 2010. It is my understanding that 2010-2013 units are interoperable.

If you have a 2011 model year XJ/X351, then the device will work. I highly recommend going this route as opposed to modifying the vehicle’s CCF file to disable the video block setting.

No - I meant that it should work if you have an AW93, a BW93 or a CW93.

That’s surprising. The description in the listing says that it’s compatible with the 2011 XJ. I’m willing to bet that it will work. There’s not much of an internal change in the nav units between the 2011 and 2013...if any change at all. I have a 2013 XJ, and the device works perfectly fine. I bet that it’ll still work. Just my two cents brother.

H20Boy's original thread shows pictures of the device he had being installed on a 2010/11. (AW93). Therefore if the device is the same as that used by H20Boy, it will work on a MY2011. As far as anyone can tell, the interfaces of the BW93 (2011/12) and CW93 (2012/3) are identical to the AW93, so if the device works on a CW93 it will almost certainly work on an AW93 (... or a BW93, if you have one of those - as you may). The issue may be that MY 2013 part way through Jaguar changed to DW93 (as I understand it) and the DW93 is not 100% compatible with the AW93. ABrice: is yours a CW93 or a DW93? (did you look?)
